One of the most exciting elements of the Super Billiards Expo is the Amateur Players Championship series of tournaments!

This is our premier series of events, the Players Championship. Started in 1993, these amateur-only events have grown bigger and better every year. More than 1200 players each year, spread over 5 divisions, travel to Valley Forge to play in what has become the world's largest open amateur event. There are no league affiliations required, no handicap systems used, no teams, no qualifiers... It's just you and your abilities against your opponent. Some will win, some will lose, but everyone should have a good time, meet new friends, tell some stories, and gain experience.

In addition to the monetary payouts, winners in each division win beautiful, prestigious trophies - hand picked by Allen Hopkins. Sign up today, and come have an exciting, challenging weekend with pool enthusiasts from around the world. All events are played on only the finest equipment available: Diamond Smart BarBox Tables with Simonis 860 cloth.

IMPORTANT NOTE: If you have signed up for this event online, using our paypal credit card system, your confirmation email indicates that you are confirmed for the event. As the show approaches, entries come in quicker than we can keep the list updated, so just because you do not see your name yet is no need for concern. Again, if you have received a confirmation email in your inbox, then we have your name and you will get added to the list as soon as possible. You do not need to call or email us to double check.

Jump to the division you are interested in: SPECIAL NOTE:
You are more than welcome to play in more than one Players Championship event while you are at the Super Billiards Expo. However, we CANNOT guarantee that your match times will not overlap. If this situation occurs, you will have to choose one match to play in, thus resulting in a forfeit for the other. There is just not enough time and space over the weekend to allow for delays caused by this type of overlapping. Thanks for understanding.

EVENT: Wednesday Warm-Up - NEW for 2010       back to top
Start your Expo weekend off right!
Start getting in stroke Wednesday night, before the official start of the Super Billiards Expo! We know a lot of players arrive in Valley Forge Wednesday afternoon in preparation for Thursday morning, so we have created an event for all those players.

This event is going to pay 1 out of every 8 entrants. Rather than play all the way to one winner, we are awarding $400 each to 1 in 8 players. For example, if we get 32 players, we will play down to 4 players and each player wins $400. If we get 64 players, then we will pay the final 8 players $400 each. And so on.

All players in our events are rated using the Global Pro Rating System. After enough rated matches, the Global Rating System will provide an unbiased score to indicate a players' level of performance. Click the logo to the right to learn more about it, and to see how you rate!
