Hi Allen Sr. and Allen Jr.,
Thanks for another GREAT Super Billiards Expo!!!

I had a great time, interacted with the cue makers and other fellow cue collectors, and spent a bit of money as well on another cue for my collection.

Thanks for all you both do for the industry. It is great to see how successful your show has become. It is an automatic must attend annual event, and great fun.
I have only missed one in the last twenty years!

See you next year.

All the best,

Dan G.

Allen,

Well once again you survived a pool tournament / billiard show!

This is just a short note to thank you for all the effort you put into this event. You provide a venue for all of us to show our wares and sell if they are good enough for the customer. I know it's a tough thing to run and the first year has to be a nightmare. I had a good show and I'm very happy with what you did for us this first year.

Thanks again,

Dan

Dear Mr. Hopkins,
I'm sure you have been flooded with phone calls and emails as of late as this is obviously a very busy time of year! I wanted to write a quick note about the positives from this year's SBE.

I heard some grumblings from people about the new venue and I figure that some compliments are in order as well. This is my 5th trip to the SBE and I have to be honest, I liked the new venue! The expo is always an exceptionally well run event and this year was no different. I liked that there seemed to be more practice tables. I'm about a B player (on a good day) so the increase in tables gave me an opportunity to play on and hold a table for a bit because all of the elite players were otherwise occupied on other tables.

I really enjoyed being able to have room to walk around. The aisles in the vendors sections were much more spacious because of the larger square footage of the expo center. I thought the pro arena was very well set up as well, specifically because I could watch all of my favorite players from much closer! I think I was about fifteen feet away from SVB during one of his matches. That perspective allows a player like me to learn about the game up close without interfering with play. I also took some amazing pictures that I wouldn't have been able to get from further away.

Thank you for providing an event that is everything a player could hope for!

Regards,

Hello Allen,

I wanted to give you feedback regarding this year's production. I have been attending this event for the fifth straight year. Since this year's event was held at a new location I'm sure you would like to here fan's reaction.
In my opinion, like any new significant change there are pros and cons. The biggest plus from my view is everything being on one floor, you had an excellent field of pro players as usual. The areas I felt was not as good as in the past is the limited and size of the bathrooms, the cost of entry went up, but hasn't everything during our recession. The main inconvenience or negative I viewed was the pro ten ball event's layout. I attended both sessions on that Saturday and as the event progressed to the money portion and the field was thinning out all tables were not filled as to be expected, but there were three matches being played and they were all assigned to tables at one end of the room. I had VIP tickets, but that did not help if no matches were being played at the end were the seats were available. I thought the matches should have been spread out so there would be a match at each section of the room, left end, center and right side of the room, this way no matter where you were sitting you would be able to view a match. I plan to attend your 2013 event and hopefully I will find it as enjoyable with even better logistic arrangements.

Greetings ---
I am sure you are very busy but I thought I would drop you a note/email. I was planning on spending a few days and entering the 50 and over event but unfortunately my wife had a bad skiing accident that required major knee surgery ----(my cooking skills have improved greatly.) She is doing better.

I decided to come down for the day on Saturday. This was my first time at a SBX so I can’t compare it to Valley Forge but what you have done for the billiard community with the SBX is Amazing. Since this was my first time at a SBX, I had many questions. Everyone was very helpful and very nice. I left with some very nice items and had a great time.

I am looking forward to next year, congratulations and thanks to you and everyone connected with the SBX.
